Heirloom Furniture Restoration

Do You have an older piece of furniture that you can’t make work with your homes modern décor? Let us help!! Below are three pictures of pieces that we were able to bring back to life and give a more modern look, without sacrificing the quality and style of the original furniture. The truth is, a lot of times all it takes is a refinished front and a new top to completely change the look of an old piece of furniture.

We start by removing hardware and completely stripping down the original finish using a good quality stripper and then applying a new finish. The new fish can be anything from a solid color to a distressed texture or anything in-between depending on your preference. After the main piece of furniture is complete, we look at the top. There are three ways we can approach the top. Classic, a solid on piece top with no seams routered to fit the piece of furniture exactly. Live edge, a solid slab with three edges cut to fit dimensions of the furniture and the fourth or front edge is a natural live growth edge. And finally, the “creative top”.  Maybe your looking for something ultra unique, we’ve got you covered. This top could be anything from epoxy to hand hammered brass(see picture below), and quite frankly anything in-between. This is where we get to have fun and stretch our creative muscles to make that old piece of furniture stand out from the rest but still be as functional as day one.
